"We’re in it as much for the losses as for the wins. We in it for the journey. We in it for love." Your writing gets to the core of every gooner. Small edit - the latter two sentences should say "We're" instead of "We.
Thanks so much Yuri. I appreciate your kind comment. But I really appreciate the edit suggestion! Up until now I had assumed that any edits meant a new email was automatically sent (duh) so I left them. But, after your kind edit suggestion I investigated and discovered the (obvious) fact that I can edit a post without sending a new email. That's brilliant news for me as there's plenty of edits I need to do 🙄 Thanks again dude. Seriously that's great!
I waited to read this (and all other Arsenal content, including listening to my podcasts) until my own draft for that companion piece I mentioned last week was done. I'll share it once it's up next week :) Anyway, I'm glad I waited since this was the most lovely way to celebrate (not to mention that we're on the same page about everything that matters). You've captured the season so well, Jonathan, and I'm grateful you found my page earlier this year, so that I could join and enjoy your beautiful, thoughtful writing. Here's to a good summer ahead before we come back for more!
I'm very happy to have done so too Anushree, and I'm really looking forward to reading your companion piece. Don't forget to share it.
Thanks so much for all your kind and insightful comments over the season. You've been a great support and encouragement and I really appreciate that. I will do a couple of articles over the summer as I mentioned so hopefully you'll catch them. Have yourself a wonderful summer and thanks again. Cheers!
Good to see you here PDA! Welcome from the shadows ;) Gotta thank you for the drawing of Benny jumping over a stream you did a couple of weeks back too. You (or he) are immortalised on the fridge door now :)
Thanks so much Emma (although I'm guessing you don't mean Arsenal Wonderland joins one of these Space Race lunatics as a terrified passenger) I'll keep on writing and let's see how high I can get! You have yourself a wonderful summer too.
Brilliant. You've captured so satisfyingly what makes it impossible to mourn a season like this. Even Southampton at home, I will remember most for the eight minutes of stoppage time I spent absolutely convinced we would find a winner. What else (legal substances only) gives you such electricity and faith?
I had that exact same feeling at the Southampton game. It was almost weird we didn't find the winner! That was one of the best parts of the season, never giving up, always believing.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment Jonah. Have a great summer dude!
You are a wonderful writer Jonathan. As a retired sports editor, writer and columnist I can say that I wish I had had you working for me at one of my newspapers. Very thoughtful and the words flow beautifully. I look forward to your thoughts on the upcoming season. Keep writing!
Love it, I'm out there stomping through neck high snow and you're lolloping about in bed! 😂
Thanks so much for your support and comments Ben, I've genuinely taken much pleasure from both so nice one dude. I hope you have a fantastic summer too. Enjoy.

Thanks Anushree!
It'll be out this Thursday - I will be sure to share! :)
Realized I had been lurking for a while without actually subscribing. I have now fixed this grave error.

Have a wonderful summer Jonathan, let’s hope your writing gets propelled into the stratosphere over the coming months, your talent deserves it x

Well, the obvious solution is for you to come out of retirement there Rick 😉
Thanks so much for your generous words. Much appreciated and I'll definitely keep up the writing. Onward and upward to next season!
Have a wonderful summer.
Ha! I guess you never say never. :-)
Hope you have a great summer too!
Thanks for your writing Jonathan. Definitely a highlight of my Monday or Tuesday mornings in bed haha. Have a great summer.
