There does seem to be a whiff of petulance in the (some of the) Arsenal (anti) social-media world whenever we don't grab all the points on offer. As if winning the Premier League was a just walk in the park.
Funny you mention the missing "h"s. You are of course completely right (and very gently pointed out too, nice touch). I noticed them as soon as I pressed Post. I swear there's a "press post ghost". You write something, read it, read it again, but you never actually see anything until you press post, when suddenly BOOM out come the errors like ghosts haunting your day! 😂
Thanks for reading and commenting CeeBee, I'm so glad you're enjoying these musings!
I'm running out of things to say without sounding repetitive, Jonathan, but another lovely read. Some of my favourite turns of phrase - A great rhythm of flowering moments unfolding through time; the messy, bewitching and beautiful humanness; that spoonful of time on which we gorge ourselves. I hope you'll carry some extra belief with you on my part to the stadium on Friday to shower on this team. COYG.
Well, I'm not finding it difficult to say thank you again Anushree! Really appreciate your reading and commenting and enjoying my writing :) And just between us I also loved "that spoonful of time on which we gorge ourselves". It's funny how phrases sort of birth themselves when writing.
I don't like to predict too much, it's playing with fire really, but I think we're going to get back on track on Friday. Another mighty 3 points to the Arsenal coming up ;)
I can't wait to see what you write about being at the stadium on Friday. I bet it fired up a lot of those creative neurons! ;) Re: phrases birthing themselves - it is one of my favourite parts of writing. Also, I'm really glad you found my page on here and reached out :)
Not long to wait now Anu! Nearly done :) I'll send the new one tomorrow morning. Hopefully this evening's match goes our way and people still want to think about football tomorrow 😂
Lyrical insights and a welcome antidote to a good bit of what I'm encountering on other sites this morning. Thank you!
Stumbled in one place, as there might be missing "h"s in para 3 ("We are were we are. We are happy were we are.")
